Zlatan Ibrahimovic 2009 – The Prince of Passion

I just went into YouTube to try and find a video of Barça’s magnificent 4-1 victory over Racing on Tuesday (22-09-09). I must admit I had our boy Lionel Messi on my mind.
Nobody seems to have loaded up the goals yet but my attention was caught by this.
The ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC highlights so far this season, Some tasty moments and FOUR goals in FOUR games.
Young Lionel is undoubtedly the King of World Football but Prince Zlatan is growing in stature – if he wasn’t tall enough already.

FC Barcelona Tickets and Camp Nou Tickets – Fantastic Primera Liga and Spanish Football Tickets – are worth every goddamn cent when these two get going.
Does anyone remember the name of that Cameroon centre-forward who played for us last season?

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s First Goal For FC Barcelona – Sporting Gijon 3-0
Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s First Goal For FC Barcelona came against Sporting de Gijon.
Alves crosses, Sporting defender Gregory brushes the ball with his head, Zlatan heads it in Barça’s third goal of the evening.
You don’t see it on the video but his celebration was pretty serious – it’s obvious that he was relieved to get his first goal for Barça.

FC Barcelona vs Manchester City 0-1 Joan Gamper 19-08-09
The highlights of Manchester City’s 0-1 victory over Barcelona in the club’s Joan Gamper pre-season trophy.
It wasn’t a fantastic game because Barça were much less worried about winning than city were. The Blaugrana had already competed in the Spanish SuperCup and were thinking ahead to the European one and the start of La Liga, so Pep continued with his experiments and used a lot of the reserve and youth players. Most of the theoretical first team had a bit of a run about and Zlatan Ibrahimovic made his debut without much luck. Barça still played like Barça and the result was of little importance.

For City, however, after investing so much money, beating the reigning European Champions gave them a definite moral boost and I’m sure Mark Hughes smiled to himself when he thought of his unsuccessful period at Camp Nou under Terry Venables back in the late 1980s.
