FC Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid 5-2 Liga BBVA 2009-10
Hot off the press! Barça’s fantastic performance against Atletico de Madrid at Camp Nou on Saturday.
1-0 Min 1: Ibrahimovic gets the blaugrana off the mark with a really classy goal. The poise and control necessary to put this one away is the mark of a truly great player.
2-0 Min 16: A work of art from Messi who was quite possibly offside but Who Cares? He seems to beat the defence and goalie without touching the ball.
3-0 Min 20: Dani Alves free kick goes in like a rocket – I’m surprised the post stayed standing.
4-0 Min 41: A great goal from Keita, which just goes to show that you don’t have to be one of the stars to join in the party with this Barça!
4-1 Min 45: Kun takes advantage of a mistake by Busquets to beat Valdés but Atletico still go into the half time break shell-shocked
4-2 Min 85: Forlán beats Valdés with a well-executed shot
5-2 Min 94: Messi just shows he’s the greatest player in the world by taking advantage of an Iniesta pass.

FC Barcelona’s first 40 minutes were just pure genius but the defence showed some weaknesses as soon as Barça had less possession. Still spectacular stuff which makes it well-worth getting FC Barcelona Tickets
Atletico, though, are really up against it, though – only 1 point from the first three games and a disappointing draw against Apoel Nicosia in the Champions League. They’ve got a great side and you can watch Kun, Forlan, Simao and Maxi at Vicente Calderon by buying Atletico de Madrid Tickets
FC Barcelona Anthem – El Cant del Barca
What is that song that FC Barcelona play every after game at the Camp Nou?
Answer
The song is called El Himne or Cant del Barça and here’s the first verse in Catalan followed by the translation in English.
Tot el camp
es un clam
som la gent Blau Grana
Tan se val d’on venim
Si del sud o del nord
ara estem d’acord
estem d’acord
una bandera ens agermana.
Blau Grana al vent
un crit valent
tenim un nom
el sap tothom
Barça!, Barça!, Baaaarça!!!!
Jugadors
Seguidors
tots unit fem força
son molts d’anys plens d’afanys
son molts gols que hem cridat
i s’ha demostrat
s’ha demostrat
que mai ningú no ens podrà tòrcer
Blau Grana al vent
un crit valent
tenim un nom
el sap tothom
Barça!, Barça!, Baaaarça!!!!
In English
The whole stadium
Makes a noise
We are the blaugrana people
It doesn’t matter where we come
Whether it’s from north or south
All of us are in agreement
A flag makes us brothers

Blaugrana to the wind
A valiant shout
We’ve got a name that everyone knows
Barça! Barça! BAAAAAAAAAARÇA!
OK. I know the translation isn’t brilliant but you get the general idea. It’s really rousing stuff and we all love singing at Camp Nou or even in the bar whilst we’re watching the game. Needless to say, we sang it a lot last season.
Anyway, here’s a video of the song. Feel free to sing along.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic 2009 – The Prince of Passion

I just went into YouTube to try and find a video of Barça’s magnificent 4-1 victory over Racing on Tuesday (22-09-09). I must admit I had our boy Lionel Messi on my mind.
Nobody seems to have loaded up the goals yet but my attention was caught by this.
The ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC highlights so far this season, Some tasty moments and FOUR goals in FOUR games.
Young Lionel is undoubtedly the King of World Football but Prince Zlatan is growing in stature – if he wasn’t tall enough already.

FC Barcelona Tickets and Camp Nou Tickets – Fantastic Primera Liga and Spanish Football Tickets – are worth every goddamn cent when these two get going.
Does anyone remember the name of that Cameroon centre-forward who played for us last season?
