Are Real Madrid a football club or a money making bissness?
It seems to me that Real Madrid care less about playing good football, and more about big names that can increase shirt sales….are they destroying football with their ridiculous spending, by making it more about primadonnas than the beautiful game ?

Well, with the amount of money they’re splashing out, it certainly isn’t business – more like desperation!
Both.

Both of those things but they are also an extension of the Spanish Government who help to bankroll them. It makes you wonder how happy are Barcelona fans that the tax they pay helps subsidise their worst enemies.

All clubs have to be run as businesses, it is the EPL that lives within debt and will prove costly in the end. The EPL’s wage structure surpasses any other league in the world so you can hardly blame Real Madrid.

when you have foriegn investors in soccer (liiverpool, man u, etc.) the realization is they are there for the profit. A man like perez seems to want both success on and out of the field. As an athlete, for instance c.ronaldo might not be worth $131MIL, but thats wat perez had to throw out just so man u could consider the transfer, same with kaka and if hes buying all these players it has to be also to see the best soccer on the field.

Alright let’s not get too far from the truth here: all clubs are money making businesses. it’s just that some clubs are richer than others because they have better business schemes. i’m not trying to defend Real Madrid here. i’m just stating the facts.

If you look at it from outside a fans box, football clubs are just another sort of company with stockholders and board members. For them, the major goal is making money. And how else to make more money by selling jerseys of well-known players. If fans are happy, then it is an added bonus for the company as it means more sales.
