Spain 5-0 Belgium Goals & Highlights 05.09.09
I have to admit that I was a bit miffed at La Liga stoppage but it’s very nice to see La Roja tear yet another side to pieces.
Spain continued their seemingly unstoppable march towards next year’s World Cup finals after thrashing Belgium in La Coruna to record their seventh win out of seven in Group Five.
Although Spain are still not yet assured of a place in South Africa after second-placed Bosnia-Herzegovina beat Armenia 2-0 earlier in the evening, it seems only a matter of time before the European champions seal their spot as they are six points clear with three games to go.

Valencia duo David Villa and David Silva both netted braces in the win, while Gerard Pique added the other. Villa also missed a first-half penalty when the game was goalless.
Pique really is going to be one of the players of the next decade and with Villa and Silva still at Mestalla, you’ve got to fanct Valencia in La Liga this season.

The Funny Side of the Spanish National Football Team

I was sitting here at my computer trying to think of something enthusiastic to say about Spain’s forthcoming World Cup Qualifying Games and I couldn’t think of anything.
So I went into YouTube looking for something to cheer me up – remember La Liga only started last weekend so we’re not ready for a break yet.
Anyway, I found this video of the Spanish Team celebrating their Euro 2008 victory.

WHAT A BUNCH OF IDIOTS! . . . but we do love ‘em.
